The Sam’s open with another win for Leeds as they only sit 3 back of Leicester. Ipswich and Southampton points total would have them in the top 2 if it was another season. 7 spots in the bottom are separated by 3 points. Pompey’s lead in League 1 sits at 5 points but most everyone is caught up on matches. League 2 saw all top 4 side continue winning ways.

“Don’t take a nibble” Premier League match week 28

This week the Sam’s open with Arsenal regaining the top spot as they won late over Brentford and Liverpool drew with Man City. Mel’s Villa took a bad loss to Spurs and big Sam is also back to drink Malort as Everton gave away two cheap penalties to Man U.Burnley and Sheffield give away 2 goal leads, Luton keeps fighting and Chelsea has an impressive win. The crew enjoys #7 on Whisky Advocates Top 20 of 2023 Dewars 21 Mizunara Finished.

The Sam’s open as the 4 way race at the top of the championship heats up with Leicester losing, Leeds drawing and Ipswich and Southampton winning. 7 sides are at the risk of going down as they are all separated by less than 2 points. Pompey continues their lead on league 1 and Mansfield have their lead in league 2. The Sam’s finish with a recap of the 5th round of the FA Cup.

Premier League match week 27: “Impervious to Venom and STDs”

The Sam’s open with the Manchester Derby outside of a screamer of a goal by Rashford, it was a one-sided affair for City. Everton, Forest, and Luton can’t help themselves out of the bottom despite the opportunities to do so. Villa stays ahead of Spurs, while Newcastle makes a final shot at Europa and Arsenal is seemingly scoring for fun.
The guys enjoy #8 on Whisky Advocates Top 20 of 2023, Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest, a surprisingly great whisky.

Southampton has now lost 3 of 4 and Stoke finds themselves in a jumbled bottom of the table. Premier League match week 26: “Tickle Me”

This week the Sam’s open with Villa’s impressive win and hold on to the final Champions League spot. Fulham completely outplay Man U in their own building and Arsenal’s barrages of goals continue. City and Liverpool get wins but not very impressive. Everton got a draw but gained 4 points.

DU does English Football League: Episode 29

Southamptons run has come to an end with their first loss in 22. Leeds got a big win and surpassed the Saints in the table. At the bottom Millwall now find themselves in trouble. Pompey got a couple of wins and now sit with a 7 point lead at the top of League 1. Stockport lost twice this week and Mansfield gets the lead down to 1 point in League 2 with a monster 9-2 victory. Wrexham also won 2 matches and find themselves right back in the hunt.

Premier League match week 25: “Obviously Dumb”

The Sam’s open with the top of the table as Liverpool set the pace and Arsenal answered, while City didn’t. Villa and Spurs swap the final Champions League spot again. Wolves are proving to be quite a tough out. Forest got a big win, Luton fell at home for a second week and Everton got out of the drop and awaited their appeal decision. The boys are into the top 10 of Whisky Advocates Top 20 of 2023 with Glen Dronach’s 12-year Cask Strength, which both the Sam’s were quite enamored by.

The Championship gave us some great drama as Southampton’s unbeaten streak was in jeopardy, Leeds scored a questionable goal and West Brom lost a big player. Portsmouth grew their lead at the top of League 1 and the bottom of the table saw some major shuffling. Finally, League 2 see’s Wrexham in n a 4-match losing streak, and MK Dons now find themselves in the playoff hunt.

This week the Sam’s open with the three-horse race at the top of the table, although Arsenal was the most lethal. The bottom of the table saw Luton and Forest unable to extend their points from safety despite being at home.
