Big Sam and Alan open with Leeds disappointing draw to Wednesday, then chat about Alan’s arch-rivals Sunderland who had a huge 5-0 win. The guys chat about their shared infinity for Bolton and Portsmouth success in League 1. Accy suffered a tough loss to League 2 leader, newly promoted Notts County. They finish by checking in on the league cup draw, which sees another marriage-ending derby and Newcastle finds themselves hosting Man City in the next round. Premier League Matchweek 4: Drunk Transfer recap

This week Big Sam is joined by a friend of the show and Newcastle supporter Alan to fill in while Graham is away. They open with Arsenal's big win over Man U and Forest's shocking upset at Chelsea. There were a bevy of hat tricks including one against Alan’s club. Everton finally scored a goal and so did Matty Cash, regrettably in his own net. Alan was enjoying a little tequila while Big Sam had Four Roses small batch but really Big Sam had more than half of a 99 party bucket, as it was his turn to do the infamous Drunken Transfer Recap!

DU does English Football League: WEEK 4

Leeds finally got a win and began to show some consistency. The Foxes sit atop the table but OMG that goal for Birmingham to win at the death. Wigan suffered their first loss in League 1, Graham is happy an “educated” side is top of the league and both Sam’s are astatic that Pompey remains undefeated. Accy won again in League 2 as Ben Foster retired (again) from Wrexham.

Premier League Matchweek 3: IN YOUR FACE

The Sam’s open with a couple of surprise results as Arsenal and Fulham both drop early season points at home. Graham asks which will come first; referees having a weekend without controversy or Everton scoring a goal? Mel’s Villa was flush with cash at Turfmore, while City, United, and Chelsea got unimpressive wins. The Sam’s open the show with Ipswich and Leicester undefeated and at the top of the championship, while Wednesday is still desperate for their first points of the season. In League 1 Portsmouth, Blackpool, and Wigan are all undefeated but none of them are in the top 5. Finally, Wrexham has the honor of being the league’s highest-scoring club but also the club with the worst goal conceded.

DU does English Football League: Week 2

The Sam’s are here with highlights from the EFL.  It's surprising who is at the top of the Championship and 3 very surprising clubs have two losses on the bottom. League 1 sees both Bolton and Wigan at 2 wins to start the season, yet somehow one is in first and the other is in 20th. Wrexham get a point in League 2 and the first round of the league cup saw a few surprises.

Premier League Matchweek 1: Episode 300!!

It’s the start of the new season and Graham is late because of “turnstile issues”. He gets mouthy and sees a booking for it.  But that’s all right, because so did most of the league. The three newly promoted sides didn’t get any points, but Burnley had a decent showing. Newcastle did too as they dismantle Villa. A couple of questionable calls went the keepers' way resulting in 1 Nil victory for Fulham and United.
